Your child has an opportunity to work at
home on an independent tutoring program called "Skills Tutor." They have their own username and password. Please
encourage this at home. It's a great way to expose them to concepts that have not yet been introduced in the classroom.

Our spelling schedule has shifted from our traditional
lists to ensuring students have mastered the "Essential Words" list. Please check over this list with your child.
This link can be found on the Language Arts page. We will continue to work on the Essential Words throughout the year. Once
your child has mastered the lists, they will return to our traditional spelling, which will include words with patterns and
content related words.
